Are you looking for something a little different? Do you remember the friendship bracelets of your youth? Or the candy necklaces? Here is our snack-time twist on these classics.
Our supplies for this cheery edible friendship bracelet were:
- Cereal hoops
- Candy laces
Now it’s time for a little fine-motor skills practice for your children as they string the cereal hoops onto the candy laces.
We used a multi-grain cereal, but you can use more colourful hoops if you’d like. They would make a pretty colourful bracelet for a special treat. However, those cereals are imported and much too pricey for our family, perhaps not a bad thing for us!
Once the string is long enough, just tie off the ends and you will have a slightly stretchy, edible friendship bracelet.
If you really want to get fancy, go ahead and make a matching necklace as well.
Wouldn’t these be fun for a party or play date?
